The Role As a Senior Software Developer at Lumen, you will leverage cutting-edge technologies to design, develop, and deploy software solutions that drive innovation and efficiency. This role requires a solid understanding of modern coding practices, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and cloud-based deployment strategies. Location This is a Work From Home position available from within the US. US Citizenship or Permanent Residence/Green Card is required for consideration. The Main Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java with experience in Node.js, VueJS, or NestJS. Python or GoLang is a plus.Build scalable and secure APIs and MicroApps for integration within complex systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub for seamless software delivery.Deploy applications to cloud-based environments, ensuring high availability and performance.Apply DevSecOps principles to enhance security and reliability in the development lifecycle.Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.Understand various network topologies and integrate software solutions accordingly. What We Look For in a Candidate • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. • 4 to 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with demonstrated expertise in Java with experience in Node.js, VueJS, or NestJS. • Experience in cloud-based deployments. • Containerization with Docker, Kubernetes in AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS) • Database knowledge and experience in MongoDB, NoSQL, or PostgreSQL. • Familiarity with network topologies and network equipment configuration • Temporal.io workflow management preferred experience • Knowledge of generative AI development techniques and tools is a plus • Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt to changing technologies Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges $84,629 – $112,838 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY $88,860 – $118,480 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI $93,092 – $124,122 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
